ONE|Boulder
Our Life Church
ONE|Boulder is a non-denominational self-supporting spiritual ministry, built on emergent leadership and the values of local regenerative culture.
Our spiritual devotion is to LIFE and the emergence of each living moment, with Love being the underlying creative force we are committed to. In OneBecoming|ONE we come together to Be with one another and to practice the art of Presence, in service to all life. We believe in inclusivity and respect each other's unique beliefs and perspectives.
Being in Connection Service
Every Sunday we hold Being In Connection, a service where we practice being with ourselves, being with one another, and being with whatever is alive. This is a closed-container to honor the depths of where life can take us. If you've never been before but are interested in attending, please speak with a Steward.
Sunday Being In Connection Service Guidelines
Space - In learning how to be together, it is important to honor the space we occupy together (even digitally). We ask that you do your best to remain present and engaged throughout the workshop, class or meeting, or communicate if you are unable to.
Time - Our time together is sacred. If you plan to attend a workshop, please be on time for the start time and leave only after the container is closed. If you cannot commit to this, we kindly request you do not attend the workshop. If you feel strongly about attending and still cannot make the start/end times, we ask that you contact the facilitator ahead of time to check in with them about your timing needs.
Purity - to honor the purity of the containers, we ask that you join us completely substance-free (even digitally). Unless you are attending an event that welcomes safe-substances. We ask that you honor the space by shutting off your electronic devices. For emergencies, please take communications outside of the container.
Presence - in this space, we are practicing being in presence together. We ask for you to come prepared to cultivate deep presence and deep listening. We also ask for you to tune into your heart, and to only speak when you feel touched.
Attunement - Attunement is the ability to sense into the group energy. Be mindful of the time and space you occupy and stay connected to your heart when speaking.
Yes, And - We wish to create a safe space and a generative dialogue. Allow for the expression of others and do not negate or dismiss it. If you have a different opinion, consider the phrase "yes, and..."
Own Your Experience - Within any community, there are many different beliefs and perspectives. It's not uncommon to disagree or get triggered. In those times of trigger, it is important to own our experience.
Your Triggers are a Gift - Our triggers give us the opportunity to see ourselves more deeply. Do your best to be aware of any projections, and rather than project, stay in curiosity about what is being mirrored to us about ourselves and our edges.
Step Up, Step Back - If you tend to speak a lot in groups, consider stepping back and allowing others to speak. If you tend to be quiet in groups, consider stepping up to speak.
